Visualization of the social impact of a community-based resource collection station promoting mutual support

Collaboration Outcomes
AMITA HOLDINGS and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank conducted a social impact assessment of MEGURU STATION®, a community-based resource collection station that promotes mutual support and collects plastics and other resources.
By visualizing the positive impacts of the station on residents, municipalities, and businesses using a logic model and quantitative assessment, the assessment logically indicated the potential for the station to generate medium- to long-term positive impacts, including improvements in residents’ well-being such as longer healthy life expectancy and a stronger sense of connection with the local community.
