Collaboration Outcomes

Yakult Honsha began continuous voluntary collection of used polystyrene Yakult containers in Kunitachi City, Tokyo, on April 1, 2025. In collaboration with PS Japan, the collected containers are converted into polystyrene feedstock through chemical recycling to produce high-quality polystyrene resin. Yakult Honsha is conducting a demonstration toward the future realization of horizontal recycling by using this resin in Yakult containers.
