Collaboration Outcomes

MITSUI & CO. and Mitsubishi Chemical conducted a demonstration at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, in which plastic food containers and other plastic items discarded after use at two 7-Eleven stores at the Expo site were collected in plastic collection boxes installed at each store, sorted and processed, and then converted into oil through chemical recycling to produce various plastic products.
