Collaboration Outcomes

LION and artience group (operating company: TOYO INK) jointly developed “debonding and recycling technology” that separates the polyethylene layer from refill packs for detergents and other household products made from multiple materials, allowing the polyethylene to be recycled into refill packs again.
The two companies aim to standardize this technology by establishing design guidelines for recyclable packaging. They are also seeking companies and organizations, both within and beyond the household products industry, to explore the technology together.
