Collaboration Outcomes

TOPPAN, J-OIL MILLS, and Corelex Shin-Ei established a system for recycling used paper packs for edible oil.* Starting April 1, 2025, municipal collection of these used paper packs as recyclable waste began in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture—the first such initiative in Japan.
*J-OIL MILLS’ Smart Green Pack® series reduces plastic use by more than 60% by using paper packs made from forest-certified paper. (Calculated by J-OIL MILLS in comparison with conventional plastic containers in the same capacity range.)
