Collaboration Outcomes

DIC completed construction of a dissolution and separation recycling facility at its Yokkaichi Plant for polystyrene (PS), the raw material used in colored and patterned foamed food trays. In collaboration with FPCO on closed-loop recycling of PS, DIC is working on the industry’s first closed-loop recycling of colored and patterned food trays using material recycling.
